Supporting families toward mental wellbeing

As part of our commitment to promoting health and wellbeing in our workplace and wider community, it’s a pleasure to enter our second year of partnership with Yellow Brick Road.

Yellow Brick Road is a national organisation that provides support for whānau who have a family member who is experiencing mental health challenges. Family members are often the best people to support those with mental health challenges – and Yellow Brick Road is available for when that need arises.

Yellow Brick Road’s name reflects a goal of inspiring people to start their journey along the yellow brick road towards mental wellbeing. The charity’s team of whānau support workers help by educating, navigating and advocating when families need it most.

They provide a range of services. Primarily direct one-on-one whānau support, but also:

  • group support sessions
  • innovative mental health and wellbeing programmes for adults, tamariki and rangatahi
  • women-specific support
  • advocacy, for when whānau find it difficult to access the services they need
  • family peer support groups
  • suicide postvention support.

Firming up our partnership – which is comprised of both financial and pro bono support – will go a long way towards helping those people who Yellow Brick Road aims to support.

Meet the team that makes
things simple.
