Stephanie has a strong background in intellectual property (IP) and consumer law. She regularly advises local and international clients on all aspects of IP protection and enforcement, including global trademark strategy and protection, enforcing and defending IP rights locally and overseas, trademark licensing, and advising on the regulation and compliance of new product labels and advertisements.
Her specialty areas include media, entertainment and sports law, advising on social media policies and influencer agreements, image rights, talent and sponsorship agreements.
Before joining Lane Neave, Stephanie had worked for several leading law firms in New Zealand, plus held in-house legal counsel roles for FMCG companies in New Zealand and Australia.
In the governance realm, Stephanie is a qualified Chartered Secretary, the Chairperson of Pilates Aotearoa and a Trustee of the New Zealand Youth Ballet Company. She is highly active in the recreation and performing arts industries.
