Hayley has over 20 years’ experience in civil and commercial litigation. She has acted in a wide range of commercial property disputes including pursuing and defending various claims on behalf of commercial landlords, taking action on behalf of mortgagees, and acting on disputes in relation to agreements for the sale and purchase of property, joint venture agreements and caveats.  Hayley also represents clients in contractual disputes, claims under guarantees and shareholder disputes. She has experience in trust litigation, including acting for trustees in longstanding litigation arising from a settlement involving an estate and multiple family trusts, and bringing a claim against trustees in subrogation, seeking remedies against trust assets in reliance on the trustees’ right of indemnity.

Hayley has acted for the Official Assignee, Inland Revenue and private liquidators in a range of insolvency disputes including a claim by the Inland Revenue against a liquidator for misapplying company funds and various claims by private liquidators against directors for breach of directors’ duties. She successfully acted for the Financial Markets authority in proceedings to put the Forestlands group of companies into liquidation. She also has experience in pursuing various claims against solicitors and accountants including negligence and wasted costs.

Hayley represents clients in court at all levels and regularly appears in the High Court. She is committed to providing high quality advice and representation in a pragmatic and cost-effective way.
