Patrick McPherson

Patrick is a skilled litigator with broad experience handling commercial, civil and construction disputes. With more than 20 years of experience as a senior litigator at firms in New Zealand and internationally, Patrick has a proven track record of successfully representing clients in complex and substantial disputes across a range of sectors before arbitration forums and domestic courts.

He has extensive experience and expertise in acting for clients operating in the property, finance, construction, and infrastructure sectors.

In addition to his disputes practice, Patrick is experienced acting as project counsel – advising clients throughout the lifecycle of a project, from procurement, tendering and contract drafting and negotiation, through to strategic advice during construction and operation, as well as on related claims.

Patrick is commercial and pragmatic in his approach and is focused on helping clients to resolve disputes as effectively and efficiently as possible.

He started his legal career in New Zealand and was a Partner at another national firm before spending more than a decade in the Middle East, working for leading international law firms, as well as in-house counsel for one of the United Kingdom’s largest listed companies.
