Lucian is a specialist corporate and commercial lawyer based in our Christchurch office, with a particular focus on financial markets law and mergers and acquisitions. Lucian advises a range of clients on venture capital / private equity funds, capital raising, financial products and services, negotiated M&A, purchaser and vendor side due diligence and joint ventures.
During his time at Lane Neave, Lucian has:
• acted for one of New Zealand’s largest private property funds;
• worked closely with both New Zealand and Australian based clients on due diligence investigations;
• assisted with a range of negotiated M&A transactions (including cross-border) and their associated settlement;
• provided detailed regulatory advice on the application of exclusions under the Financial Markets Conduct Act and fair dealing; and
• assisted with negotiating and implementing joint venture structures.
Lucian has a particular interest in limited partnerships and financial services regulation. He enjoys solving complex problems for financial service providers and capital raising transactions.
