Nicola Cuervo will join the Lane Neave Partnership from Wednesday 1 April, further strengthening the leadership capability of the firm’s nationwide employment law practice.
Nicola joined the firm as Special Counsel last year, quickly becoming an integral member of the 19-strong employment law team.

Coming from an extensive background of private and in-house experience, Nicola specialises in employment and health law, with particular expertise in dispute resolution, investigations, privacy, health & safety, and coronial inquiries.
Nicola is an expert in disciplinary processes and investigations, as well as restructuring, personal grievances and alternative dispute resolution.
She has broad experience in health & safety advisory work, incident notifications, directors’ duties, and negotiating enforceable undertakings.
Nicola has extensive experience in high-profile government and coronial inquiry work, recently appearing before the Coroner at the inquest into 19 deaths arising out of the 2023 Auckland Anniversary Weekend and Cyclone Gabrielle weather events.
