Profile

Dougal McAdam leads Lane Neave’s Compliance function and is responsible for ensuring the firm’s regulatory compliance with anti-money laundering (AML), client identification requirements and management of conduct risks. He brings almost 20 years’ experience in financial services compliance and operational risk control having previously worked for large European and US investment banks in London and Hong Kong.

A key part of his role is to ensure the firm has in place a robust compliance programme, with processes that fully support our diverse practice areas and clients to meet all regulatory obligations. His goal is to execute our vision to operate a best-in-class compliance function.

Dougal holds a BCom from the University of Canterbury and Diploma in Investment Compliance from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments in the United Kingdom.

He is interested in evolving AML risk areas, including digital identity, decentralised finance and web3.
