Jaxon is an experienced property and commercial lawyer who specialises in three core areas: property development, retirement villages and aged care, and overseas investment.
Jaxon acts for developers and asset owners on major residential, commercial and industrial developments, including acquisitions and divestments, greenfield and brownfield developments, subdivisions, leasing structures and property finance.
A significant part of Jaxon’s practice is advising retirement village and aged care operators and owners. He regularly works on the acquisition, development, funding and disposal of villages and care facilities, and advises on the legal structures and regulatory considerations unique to the sector.
Jaxon also has recognised experience in overseas investment, advising high-net-worth individuals, offshore investors, funds and corporates on New Zealand’s Overseas Investment Act regime and related regulatory approvals, including assisting with the acquisition of sensitive land, residential property and business assets. He is experienced in managing complex approval processes and aligning investment structures with commercial objectives.
