Lynne is a commercial litigator with particular expertise in litigation related to banking, insolvency and restructuring, and property.
She advises on a wide range of commercial matters, including:
- securities enforcement
- governance issues
- recoveries
- shareholder disputes
- body corporate matters
- insurance.
She has interest and experience in product liability issues in the automotive sector, including matters related to the Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act. She acts for national and international clients, including insolvency practitioners, lenders, corporate and private clients.
Lynne has appeared in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Māori Appellate Court, Māori Land Court and High Court. She also has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution, assisting clients with mediation and arbitrations.
Lynne is a member of RITANZ – the leading insolvency industry group in New Zealand – and INSOL International, a worldwide federation of insolvency and restructuring experts. She authors the New Zealand paper for INSOL’s Foundation Certificate in International Insolvency Law course.
In addition, Lynne is on the steering committee for Women in Restructuring and Insolvency (Auckland) and sits on the board of New Zealand Asian Lawyers and Auckland Community Law Centre.
