An Associate in our Corporate Law team based in Christchurch, Richard specialises in financial services, financial markets, investment funds and financial regulatory matters.
His experience includes providing advice:
- on NZX-related matters
- on financial regulatory matters
- on offers under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Scheme
- to providers of discretionary investment management services (DIMS) and on AML/CFT matters.
Richard has advised on a range of corporate work from full takeovers under the Takeovers Code, to general corporate matters.
Before joining Lane Neave, Richard was legal counsel at NZX Limited where he gained significant experience in navigating the NZX Market Rules and providing support to NZX Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary, Smartshares Limited (New Zealand’s largest fund manager).
He also worked at the Wellington office of a top New Zealand corporate law firm, before moving to Christchurch which he calls home.
