Profile

Sophie is an associate in the litigation and dispute resolution team in Christchurch.

Sophie has experience advising a range of corporate and public sector entities, as well as individuals, in disputes involving contract, tort, judicial review, employment law, financial regulation, public and constitutional law, and human rights issues. Sophie has appeared in the High Court and Employment Court, and has acted on matters across all levels of the New Zealand court system.  Sophie is also regularly involved in alternative dispute resolution such as arbitrations and mediations.

Sophie takes a considered approach to her work and tailors solutions to meet her clients’ needs, keeping them informed every step of the way.  She has strong research and drafting skills and is well versed at preparing succinct legal advice.

Prior to joining Lane Neave, Sophie worked in litigation and dispute resolution at a leading national law firm and as in-house counsel in central government.

Sophie takes pride in supporting clients with her committed advocacy and the provision of strategic and pragmatic advice and solutions.
