Lane Neave named APAC Firm of the Year at Global Women in Business Law Awards 2022

Lane Neave has won the supreme award at the Global Women in Business Law Awards 2022.

The firm was named Asia-Pacific Firm of the Year 2022 at a glittering ceremony in London last night.

In September 2022 Lane Neave won several categories at the Asia-Pacific Women in Business Law Awards, including New Zealand Firm of the Year, Work-Life Balance National Firm of the Year and Women in Business Law National Firm of the Year.

Regional winners are judged on their ability to support the development of women in the legal profession and provide work/life programmes to enable women to pursue legal careers.

Employment Law Partner Fiona McMillan, who led the firm’s submissions process, said she was extremely proud of the work that the Partners and leaders of Lane Neave had undertaken to support, enable and promote female legal staff.

“This award, coming hot on the heels of our regional award success earlier in the year, is evidence again that Lane Neave proactively establishes and embeds policies and processes that support all of our female staff to thrive within the profession.”

Lane Neave Managing Partner Andrew Shaw agreed: ‘’We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised internationally for our genuine commitment to our outstanding female lawyers.

“We are very focussed on providing all women with the pathway and opportunity to rise to the top of the profession.”

McMillan concluded: “Winning an international award that recognises our commitment to enabling women to pursue successful legal careers does not happen accidentally or overnight.

“It is a direct result of deliberate planning, investment and commitment from the Partners of Lane Neave.

“This award is a wonderful celebration of an ambition that has come to fruition.”
