Lane Neave has advised on the New Zealand aspect of the sale of Molekulis (trans-Tasman) to Redox Ltd (ASX:RDX) – one of the world’s leading chemical, ingredient and raw material distributors.
Lane Neave provided on-the-ground New Zealand support for the deal which was led by Australia’s HopgoodGanim Lawyers. Our team – comprised of Partner Carlo Wan and Senior Associates Irini Meys and Alex Stone – provided strategic legal advice from a New Zealand perspective throughout the transaction.
Molekulis is the exclusive distributor across Australia and New Zealand for several renowned global manufacturers, supplying essential products to a broad range of sectors including energy, mining, agriculture, adhesives and road construction.
The acquisition strengthens Redox’s presence across the region, building on Molekulis’ 25-year reputation as the leading trusted supplier of specialty transformer oils. Completion occurred on 30 April 2025 and terms of the deal remain confidential.
“This was a complex deal which took the best part of nine months,” says Carlo.
“Our team was able to draw on Lane Neave’s extensive expertise across a range of legal areas to provide guidance to Molekulis throughout the whole process – ultimately leading to a great outcome for all parties.”
Lane Neave worked alongside HopgoodGanim Lawyers’ Sarah Judge and James Reich, who provided strategic legal advice throughout the transaction.
